Teaching and Learning Model

The activities in this resource has been developed using the following organisation also used in the development of the science modules for the Science Years 1 to 10 Syllabus.

  1. Introductors (engage/explore)
    Elicit student current understanding, evoke interest, alert students to what they can expect in the coming learning experiences.
  2. Developmental (explore/explain/elaborate)
    Facilitate the development of the student understanding and cognitive skills.
  3. Culminating (evaluate)
    Help students reflect over the learning that has occurred and evaluate the effectiveness of the tasks and techniques for particular students.
